Travelling for Treatment

International Patients

Aeterna Health Queensland welcomes patients travelling from overseas to access TGA-regulated regenerative medicine on the Gold Coast. We offer a structured international patient program designed to make your visit to Australia straightforward, safe, and clinically well-managed from first contact through to follow-up care.

Delivered under the clinical care of a registered medical practitioner, within an accredited hospital.

A Personal Message from the Founder
My Promise to Patients Who Travel to Us

When you choose to travel to Australia for your care, you are placing significant trust in our team — and in Australian medicine itself. I take that responsibility seriously.

You are leaving behind your country, your family, your familiar physicians, and the comfort of home — to seek care you cannot easily access where you live. That decision takes courage, careful thought, and significant resources. It deserves to be matched by extraordinary attention.

Aeterna Health Queensland is built not as a transactional medical tourism business, but as a precision regenerative medicine clinic governed by the same Australian regulatory standards we apply to every patient — with personal coordination from your first enquiry through to your return home.

If your case is appropriate, you will receive Australia’s full clinical care.
If it is not, we will tell you before you travel — not after.

Your time, your trust, and the courage it takes to seek care abroad deserve nothing less.

— Jacqueline M. Clayton
Founder and Director, Aeterna Health Queensland

Why International Patients Choose Queensland

Queensland is one of Australia’s premier medical tourism destinations, combining world-class clinical standards with an internationally recognised lifestyle environment. The Gold Coast offers direct international flight connections, a wide range of accommodation, and a well-established private health sector.

Aeterna Health Queensland is located in the RDX Lumina Life Sciences Centre, Southport — part of the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, adjacent to Gold Coast University Hospital. All procedures are delivered through Southport Day Hospital, an accredited surgical facility operating to Australian hospital standards.

Our International Patient Program

1
Telehealth pre-consultation

Before you travel, a registered medical practitioner will conduct a full consultation by video to assess clinical suitability, review your medical history and imaging, and determine whether travel for treatment is appropriate. We will not invite you to travel unless we are confident you are a suitable candidate.

2
Coordinated arrival and accommodation

Our coordinator can assist with recommendations for accommodation near the clinic, airport transfer arrangements, and scheduling to make your time in Queensland as efficient as possible.

3
Same-day hospital procedure

Both svCell and iCell programs are designed as same-session procedures at Southport Day Hospital. Most patients are discharged the same day and do not require an extended hospital stay.

4
Telehealth follow-up

Post-procedure follow-up is conducted by video, meaning you do not need to extend your stay in Australia beyond the procedure period.

5
Liaison with your home practitioner

With your consent, we will communicate directly with your treating doctor at home to ensure continuity of care following your return.

普通话支持
Mandarin-Speaking Support

Aeterna Health Queensland provides Mandarin-speaking coordination for patients from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Our Mandarin-speaking coordinator is available throughout the enquiry, pre-consultation, and post-procedure process.
